Rental* FAQ
When I rent a training video, do I also get the facilitator material?
Yes...See the "Purchase Includes" section of a particular product to see what is included with a purchase. Whatever is included with the purchase of a DVD will also ship with a rental.
Accessories such as pocket reminder cards can be kept, while DVDs, CDs, and guides, must be returned.
If I rent a DVD, then decided to purchase it, can the rental cost be deducted from the purchase price?
Yes! The cost of rentals may be applied to a purchase if purchased within 30 days of rental; some producers offer a 60-day grace period. Call 1-800-774-4870 for information.
When does my 7 days begin?
A good rule of thumb is to consider the first full day after you receive the package as day 1....we recommend that you...
...give us directions (via phone, or in the NOTE section of the shopping cart during checkout) as to the exact date you want the DVD to arrive; we'll do our best to get the program to you on or before that date - if the DVD does arrive before the date you specified, the early day(s) will not count against your 7 day rental period.
Can I rent a video longer than 7 days?
Yes... prices vary product to product, so call us to get pricing for for extended rental periods.
How and when do I return the rental package?
Keep the original packaging and reuse it if you can - in any case, a rental ALWAYS get shipped back to the address from which it came at the customer's expense DO NOT SHIP the rental back the Employee University sales office.
The rental package must be postmarked no later than the 8th day. There is no need to pay for rush shipping; ground is fine; you should us a carrier that provides tracking information so that you can have proof that you returned the package.
What if I forget to send the DVD back in time?
It is likely you will be charged for a second week of rental.
* We use the term "rental" for communication and marketing - technically, you are licensing intellectual property for 7 days, not renting the physical DVD for 7 days.
