About our Free Previews
Are you legally permitted to watch an online preview? Yes...if you are a financial decision maker in your organization tasked with selecting training media. And... you have looked at the cost of the program, and know that it is within your budget to purchase should you find the content suitable.
We ask that you limit your "evaluation panel" to 1-3 people; here is a real-life example of a preview that crossed that line...
A customer wrote us about a leadership training video; saying they:
"....played the preview at one of their directors meetings where 30 of their directors "evaluated" it. All of them loved it and raved about it..."
But they did not place an order. So, essentially, this organization provided training to 30 of their key leaders illegally using a preview copy.
In this case - The directors should not have served as the evaluation panel for a leadership program, because they were the target USERS of a leadership training program...
...it's like the restaurant owner who invited all the customers in the restaurant to try a new hamburger he just created - then after the customers had eaten and raved about it - the owner asked them if they wanted to buy one. One customer speaks up and says: "Are you kidding! We're all stuffed on the free burger!!"
The restaurant owner should have tested the new menu item on 2 or 3 people, then, upon their approval, put the item on the menu... it's not the perfect metaphor, but it gets the point across.
Going back to actual case mentioned above...30 senior level employees benefited from our product without paying for it...beyond the ethics and legal issues with what this company did...it's also about lives; the lives of the investors and in the production companies..
Please Respect the Investors
